If you have a domestic battery, you must declare it to Sibelga. This enables us to continue to provide all the people of Brussels with an efficient electricity network.
A battery is considered to be an electrical energy production unit subject to Synergrid technical regulation C10/11. Declaring it is a legal obligation under the Electricity Ordinance.
The declaration must be made no later than 30 days after the installation is commissioned, based on the date of the inspection report.
What do I need?
- A copy of the compliance report for your installation.
- A copy of the single-line diagram of your installation.
Are you installing a Plug & Play battery? (Authorised from 17/4/2025.)
- You must also declare it, but no compliance report is required.
- However, your battery must appear on the list of approved batteries in document Synergrid C10/26.
