On 4 September, Sibelga had the pleasure of welcoming its new Board of Directors in full force for an evening of conversation and reconnaissance.
It provided an excellent opportunity to get to know each other (even) better, strengthen our ties and share our common vision of the major energy challenges facing Brussels.
Fast-track training on our networks
The evening began with an onboarding session led by several members of the Management Committee. A chance for the directors to brush up on their understanding of how electricity, gas and heating networks work – the latter being set to expand to meet the challenge of heating Brussels.
Immersion at the heart of our infrastructure
After this introductory session, it was time for a walk-about, stopping off at a number of key departments, including:
Dispatching: Sibelga's nerve centre, where the Brussels networks are monitored and managed in real time. Thanks to increasingly cutting-edge digital technology, the centre is becoming “smarter” than ever.
The training/test network, an electrical cabin and our cogeneration plant: these infrastructures, together with our Sibelga academy, allow us to train and test under real conditions, while illustrating in concrete terms the diversity of the energy solutions deployed in the field.
Moving forward together
This evening of exchanges helped to strengthen mutual understanding between the Board of Directors and Sibelga's teams. This constructive dialogue is essential if we are to pursue our shared mission: to help Brussels move towards a reliable, low-carbon energy future that is accessible to all.
