From 2025, a billing model based on actual electricity consumption applies to festivities of any duration. This model notably replaces the previous daily ‘consumption package’ system that applied between 2020 and 2024 for festivities lasting less than 10 days.
Why this change?
Electricity consumption for temporary events has increased significantly with the use of energy-intensive equipment such as food trucks, refrigerators and sound systems. By switching to a tariff based on actual consumption, Sibelga is making sure billing is fair and accurately reflects the energy consumed.
How much will it cost?
The new tariffs, already applied for events lasting longer than 10 days, will now be billed as standard. You will pay for consumption measured in kWh at the price for non-protected residential customers.
