Would you like to install solar panels on a roof of which you are only one of the co-owners or just a tenant? This is possible, but it will take some time and negotiation.

There are 2 special cases that may arise:

  • All co-owners want to participate: In this case, they will create a communal fund to finance the installation work.
  • Only some of the residents are interested: In this situation, you will first need to get the consent from all the co-owners so the roof is allowed to be used and conclude a tenancy agreement to that effect.

The energy produced can either be injected into the communal meter, or injected into participants' individual meters.

Of course, all this will have to be arranged with the property manager. Meetings will be needed to explain how things work, compare quotes, etc.
