Inne Mertens takes up her position as Managing Director of Sibelga
Inne Mertens takes up her position as Managing Director of the Brussels-based electricity and natural gas distribution network operator. She succeeds interim CEO Raphaël Lefere.
Inne Mertens trained as a civil engineer in electrical engineering and has in-depth knowledge of the energy sector. After starting her career at Electrabel, she joined the management committee of ORES, the largest distribution network operator in Wallonia, as Director of Market Management and Customers.
She succeeds Raphaël Lefere, who has served as interim CEO since May 2020. Her appointment, announced last October, follows a rigorous recruitment process and a comprehensive strategic review.
