The P1 port on your smart meter provides access to real-time data about your energy consumption and injection. Connect an energy management system to it, and you can easily monitor your consumption habits via an app or software on your smartphone or tablet.
In Brussels, the P1 port is activated by default—so there's nothing you need to do. Prefer not to use a consumption manager? The free My Sibelga app also provides insights into your usage, although not in real-time.
Depending on the type of meter installed at your location, it may also have a second connector: the S1 port. This port transmits data approximately 1,000 times per second. Such a frequency is generally not useful for household use, which is why this user port is not supported in Brussels.
